Birth Pool Hire Terms & Conditions
Costs:
Pool hire is £175, which includes the following:
- Birth Pool in a Box Professional pool (MINI or Regular)
- Submersible water pump
- Electric inflate pump
- Selection of tap connectors
- BPIAB Birth pool liner
- Food-grade hose for filling/emptying pool
- Water thermometer
- Strainer for collecting debris in the water
- Instruction booklet
- Delivery and collection (within 20 miles of BT66 or BT7)
- Full cleaning and sterilisation of the pool and reusable accessories between each use
Deposit and Delivery
£75 deposit is required to secure your booking, with the remaining £100 to be paid by 36 weeks when the delivery date will be confirmed.
Payment can be made by bank transfer or by Paypal, once we confirm availability for your dates.
Additional costs for delivery may be required if your location is more than 20 miles from either BT66 or BT7.
Delivery will be on or before the date you have stated that you require the pool (normally from 37 weeks of pregnancy), or an alternative date as discussed and confirmed when booking.
Return of Pool after Hire
The pool, pumps, and tap connectors must be returned in a clean, dry condition. Used liners, hoses, thermometers, and strainers should not be returned. A cleaning or replacement charge will be applied if the pool is returned in poor condition.
The hirer is responsible for the use and safety of the pool and accessories while in their care. Any damaged or missing items will be invoiced at RRP. Belfast Baby Company takes no responsibility for damage caused by misuse.
Cancellations
Cancellation fees are as follows:
Cancellation before delivery (37 weeks) – £25 admin fee will be retained. The remainder of the deposit, and any other fees paid will be returned.
Cancellation after delivery – for cancellation within 72 hours of delivery, a partial refund of hire fee may be available if the pool has not been opened or used.
The cost of accessories cannot be refunded after delivery due to the single-use nature of these.
Doula Clients
Belfast Baby Company doula clients can book the use of one of our pools when booking a birth support package. The disposable kit purchase will be required (liner, hose, thermometer, strainer) and can be ordered through Belfast Baby Company for cost price.
The breathing exercises and relaxations I learned during the hypnobirthing course definitely helped during labour. I don't think my birth would have been so straightforward and positive if I hadn't come to the classes. And I'm still using the breathing exercises now whenever I feel a bit stressed or anxious!
